“Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when we look back everything is different.”
― C.S. Lewis
I have had a passion for photography since a young age. I was fortunate to learn the basics on a Pentax Spotmatic film camera, and from that moment on, I became fascinated with photography itself. More than 40 years later, that passion remains as strong as ever.
Photography is more art than science to me. Technical knowledge can assist, but it is awareness of light, form, timing, and presence that truly shapes a photograph. The most important part is being fully present - understanding the scene, the light and the story. Pressing the shutter is simply the final step in an interaction between the observer and the world.
I am drawn to the way photographs, with the passage of time, become part of history. The instant an image is captured, it becomes a record of something that will never exist in exactly the same way again. A photograph freezes a moment in time - not to stop it, but to allow it to be revisited.
My aim is to create images that feel honest and lasting. Whether these images resonate is for you to decide, but each photograph represents a moment that I found meaningful enough to preserve.
Photography has taken me to many locations and allowed me to see familiar places differently. I continue to learn, to observe, and to refine my work.
Whether you are exploring my images or choosing a print to purchase, thank you for taking the time to view my photography.
It has been rewarding to see my work recognised with Finalist, Highly Commended and Commended honours in Photographer of the Year 2025
and
Head On Exposure Awards 2025.
